Update
I just keep hanging around. Not feeling great but not feeling all that bad. I anticipate that I will be back on the transfusion band wagon again. Had one in March and am already feeling drained at times - have a doctor appointment in July so will see how it goes.

I want to tell you how much your site has meant to my family. My father was diagnosed finally in January after needing transfusions once a week since November. He received the ATG treatment at the beginning of February and so far there hasn't been any change. He is still getting transfusions about once a week, usually platelets but sometimes red blood too. This week he started acupuncture treatments. He is in his 60's so is not a candidate for BMT. Before getting sick he was very active and was often mistaken for a much younger man. We had started to lose hope when it seemed like the ATG did not work. But your site has been the most helpful place to get information on this disease. And he has started feeling more hopeful since hearing that it sometimes takes up to 6 months before noticing a difference. In our opinon, knowledge is power and having the information we need at our fingertips has helped us feel more powerful. My father can ask better questions now where before he sometimes didn't know where to start with is questions. Thank you so much for all you do.

I recently had an autologous transplant. I have good days and bad days, thank God mostly good. One problem is I still bruise easily even with a platlet count of 115 which recently dropped from 175. I had this done at Duke University.Diagonasis was T Cell lymphoma. Anyone who wishes more info can contact me at gsaltz1@aol.com
